Helen Hoffner’s National Media Coverage Continues with Upcoming Appearance on EWTN
As exposure to her latest book Catholicism Everywhere: From Hail Mary Passes to Cappuccinos – How the Catholic Faith is Infused in Culture continues to gain traction, Holy Family University School of Education professor Dr. Helen Hoffner will add an appearance on the Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) in July. Dr. Hoffner will tape two episodes for the show At Home with Jim & Joy in the EWTN studios in Alabama on July 10-11. The episodes will air on July 24-25.
The Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN), founded by Mother Angelica, a cloistered nun of the Poor Clares of Perpetual Adoration, in Irondale, AL, is an American basic cable television network which presents around-the-clock Catholic-themed programming.
Dr. Hoffner had previously appeared on the program in 2022 virtually because of COVID travel restrictions. During the 2022 episode, she discussed her book Catholic Traditions and Treasures.
Discussions with Dr. Hoffner on Catholicism Everywhere have been featured through a dozen radio interviews to date. The book also was profiled in an April 16 blog post by Dr. Jeff Mirus on the website catholicculture.org.
Catholicism Everywhere shares the origins of many common pastimes - such as personal computing, sports, and playing board games - all of which originated with the practices and work of members of the Catholic Church, as well as other aspects of daily life that have an interesting connection to Catholicism.
Dr. Hoffner’s book, published by Sophia Institute Press, is available at Barnes and Noble, Amazon, and Cokesbury, among other booksellers.
